Modern Skate & Surf is open 7 days a week working to get your orders out as quickly as possible. We make every effort for orders to ship out on the date ordered, excluding weekends which are shipped Monday morning.
Modernskate.com shows real-time inventory on our site. We share this inventory with our physical locations, and there is a rare chance that we may be out of an item that you have ordered. In such cases, we will do our best to get that product to you at no additional charge. As soon as we realize the product you ordered is out of stock, we will notify you via e-mail and refund your money.
International Shipping
Modernskate.com offers United Parcel Service (UPS) and/or United States Postal Service (USPS) service depending upon the type of products you would like to purchase and the destination country.
EXCEPTION: NO VANS SHOES SHIPPED OUTSIDE OF USA.
Import Duties & Taxes
Please note that your international order may be subject to certain import customs, duties and taxes imposed by your country upon delivery. These charges are NOT included in the prices and shipping costs listed on Modernskate.com. As the importer of record, you must comply with your local laws and regulations and pay all applicable duties, taxes and fees. Accordingly, we recommend that you contact your local customs office for an estimate of any applicable taxes and duties you may be charged upon delivery and for further information.

- 14 day price guarantee. If you find an item for less within 14 days, we will refund the difference. It must be the same product, style, and size.
- Items 30% OFF or more - ALL SALES ARE FINAL - NO REFUNDS
- USED ITEMS CANNOT BE RETURNED.
Return Policy
If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return items for a refund or exchange within 30 days of purchase. Returned items must be unworn, in the same condition you received them, with original packaging and tags attached. Customers are responsible for return shipping charges, except in case of an error on our behalf, wherein we will issue a mailing label that will return the package to us at no cost to the customer.
Any shipping problems — for example, missing or incorrect items — must be reported within 72 hours of receiving your package.
How to return an item
To qualify for a refund, all returned products must be returned in their original, unaltered packaging, including all labels and tags. Shoe boxes, boot boxes, binding boxes, and other product packaging must not have tape or any other shipping labels on them. Your must return the item within 30 days of your purchase.
1. Please email support@modernskate.com to initiate a refund. Include your order number, which item(s) you will be returning, and a reason for return.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment. Refunds are typically processed 1 to 2 business days after we receive the returned item(s). When you receive your credit depends on your financial institution- customers generally see the credits post to their account 2-4 days after we submit your refund.
Return Exceptions
Gift certificates cannot be returned.
Merchandise that has been worn, used, or altered will not be accepted for return or exchange.
Footwear must not be worn and must include the original, undamaged packaging.
If you plan to return your shoes, do not wear them after trying them on.
Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Defects
If you receive a product that is broken, non-functional, or otherwise damaged right out of the box, please call us or email customer support immediately. If the product is determined to be defective upon receipt by Modern Skate & Surf a full refund will be issued. We will reimburse shipping charges only on items declared defective. Due to limited stock, replacement product may not be available and cannot be guaranteed. Items that become defective or get damaged after any period of use must be addressed by the warranty policy of the product's manufacturer.
Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver, as they posted the original payment.
Price drops
All prices are subject to change at any time. If you purchase a product from us and the item is placed on sale within 7 days of your purchase, you can email support@modernskate.com to request a refund of the difference. You must contact us within 7 days of your purchase and the reduced item must still be on sale on the website. Refunds are applied back to the credit card used for the original purchase.
